A Family Company

At Open Electrical Solar, we’re a family owned business founded in 2013 by Mark and Tina Lyall. What started as a small, values-driven electrical company has grown into one of South East Queensland’s trusted solar and battery specialists  without ever losing that family-first approach.

Today, the business is led by Mark’s brother, Andrew Lyall, an experienced solar and battery electrician, and his cousin Jack Lindsay (Director). Together, we combine hands-on electrical expertise with forward thinking strategy and a clear mission: deliver high-quality, compliant solar solutions that genuinely improve people’s homes and businesses.

We believe in doing things properly, no subcontractors, no shortcuts, no compromises on quality. Every system we install is designed with care, installed by qualified electricians, and treated as if it were going on our own home.

Integrity, workmanship and long-term relationships are at the core of everything we do. Our goal isn’t just to install solar it’s to build systems that stand the test of time and create a positive impact for our customers and the environment

At Open Electrical, we strive for excellence in sustainability, combining business integrity with passion to provide our customers with quality products and service.


Today, we’re proud stewards with over 100 years of combined experience in the industry.


At Open Electrical, our customers range from residential homeowners, city councils, large multinational corporations and SME’s. While our customers all have different needs and budgets, they often have the same objective: to reduce energy consumption and make the world a more eco-friendly place.

Jack Lindsay - Managing Director


Jack Lindsay, our dynamic Managing Director, first graced Open Electrical with his presence in 2020 before exploring the tech world. He rejoined us in 2024, bringing a renewed energy and unparalleled organisational skills to the table. Jack’s expertise and proactive approach have made him an invaluable asset, streamlining operations and leading our team to new heights.

Nick Burns - Renewable Energy Specialist


Known for his straightforward communication and solution focused approach, Nick prides himself on making complex energy systems easy to understand. His goal is simple: to help customers make informed decisions that genuinely benefit their lifestyle, finances, and long term energy independence. Nick believes the process should feel clear, comfortable, and even enjoyable, and if he can make a customer laugh along the way, that is a bonus. When he is not talking solar, you will likely find him in the gym, on the rugby field, or producing drum and bass music.

Molly Tinkler  - Sales & Admin


Molly joined the team at Open Electrical in 2025. Working across customer service, admin, and sales support, she helps ensure every enquiry is handled smoothly and efficiently.

From assisting customers to supporting our sales team and keeping internal operations on track, Molly plays an important role in the business. With her friendly approach and can do attitude, she helps create the positive, reliable experience our customers know and trust.

Georgia Daymond - Sales & Admin


Georgia joined the team at Open Electrical in 2025. With a background in Production Management and Marketing, 

Georgia plays an integral part in supporting our sales team, assisting with the preparation of quotes, managing follow-ups, and handling a wide range of responsibilities. Her proactive approach and attention to detail help keep processes running smoothly, ensuring our team and customers receive timely, efficient support.

Ribatul  - 2nd Year Electrical Apprentice



Ribsl is a second-year electrical apprentice who enjoys learning the trade and doing things the right way the first time. He’s passionate about developing his skills on site and working alongside experienced electricians to deliver safe and reliable work.


 When he’s not working with cables, circuits, and tools, you’ll probably find him at the gym or working on his motorcycle. Ribatul enjoys problem solving and making sure every job is completed properly  because nobody likes a shocking result.

Lana Babic - Service Coordinator


Joining Open Electrical in 2026, with a strong background in Admin, Customer Service & Scheduling, Lana is the person behind the scenes making sure everything runs where it should, when it should. She manages service scheduling, customer communication, and job coordination, helping both clients and install teams stay aligned throughout the process.

Technical Support Manager


Dea joined Open Electrical in 2025 as our Sunny AI System Specialist, playing a key role in both the strategy and technical foundation of the Sunny AI platform.

Working closely with the system’s architecture, Dea oversees maintenance, troubleshoots issues, optimises processes, and develops integrations and workflows that keep operations running seamlessly. Combining strategic insight with hands-on backend expertise, she ensures Sunny AI remains reliable, efficient, and continually evolving to support the wider team.
